Hello dear friends and subscribers,
How are you? Are you still in lockdown?
In France we’re slowly going back to normal. For my part, nothing has really changed since I am still home schooling the kids until the end of the month and working from home, I don’t get out much. I admit that I find it pleasant to slow down and no longer chase time. I feel I have time again to breathe and to write…
May went by quietly but studiously for all my projects!
So here is a small summary.
1/ Translation into English of Poussières de toi and coaching
If you follow me here or on my french blog, you know that I started a working with a coach. He guides me on the long and tedious road that will hopefully lead me to meet a top literary agent. So I am following his guidelines. I have finished writing the requested synopsis, and I will focus on the query letters for the first 15 days of June.
The writing of my novel Poussières de toi is finalized with some 13k more words.
As you can see, we’re making good progress here.
2/ Novel 8
About my work in progress, I’ve passed the 30k words of the second part. My first part is 59k words.
I plan to finish writing the first draft in June. At the moment, being very motivated, I manage to write every day a minimum of 1000 words, which is not so bad when you know that I have the kids around me.
I can’t wait to finish this first draft. It would have taken me 6 months, which is honourable, but I want to be able to finalize it and concentrate on the rest. If all goes well, I’m thinking of self-publishing it by the end of the year. To be continued.
3/ Other project
I’m slowly working on my little novel ‘Jossy’, 500 words here, 500 words there… but as I have no idea if I’ll ever publish it, I write it for myself, without pressure, and it’s very pleasant.
I hope everything is going well for you, you can subscribe to this blog to be informed of my latest news.
Very nice week to all of you,
Take care of yourself,
With love,
Lily
